Hmmm! I don't wish any harm to come to the bobcats, I think it is great that they are around--but, we will have to figure out a way to protect our birds and other livestock. That could be difficult with free range birds. They do come in at night, but the bobcats are working around 6:00 pm when the birds are still out running around! Our electric fence doesn't seem to phase either birds or bobcats. Maybe free range birds aren't a good idea, but they do love being outside.
The guineas all appear to have gotten away with no serious repercussions. The pictures are form the internet--not our locals, although the one below looks like he just ate or plans to eat a tasty something--maybe a guinea!
