Market Street Yarn and Crafts goal is to provide you, our customer, with the products you want and the best service we can provide. As part of our service we want to answer your questions.

A summary of our policies is provided below. If you cannot find the answer to your question, please contact us via e-mail anytime, or call us Monday – Friday 10:30 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.

Prices are in US dollars. Promotional offers and prices are for a limited time, only. Prices are subject to change without notice and do not include shipping and handling charges or applicable taxes.

Products may be modified or discontinued at any time.

We only accept online orders for products that are in stock or currently available through our current suppliers.

Special Orders

In some cases, it may be possible to special order an item that we do not normally carry, please contact us by e-mail marketstyarn@aol.com or by phone at 304-865-0276. Special orders require pre-payment and are non-refundable and cannot be canceled after the order is place.

Your credit card will not be charged until we ship your item.

All personal checks and money orders must be cleared by our bank before shipment. Please note that there is a $25 service charge in addition to any fees levied by our bank, to be borne by the customer for the following:

• Personal checks that are returned by our bank.

• A legitimate credit card transaction that is mistakenly disputed by the customer, eg. A wife may use her husband’s credit card to make a purchase with us. This order is then delivered. However, when the credit card statement arrived, she either forgot to inform her husband or forgot the transaction, and the husband did not recognize the transaction. As a result, he called the bank to dispute the transaction. He then checks with his wife, and realizes that the transaction is a legitimate one, and no longer disputes the charge. In situations like this, the bank imposes a chargeback fee to us. We will subsequently bill this chargeback fee to you in addition to the $25.00 service charge.

SECURITY:

Purchases from the Market Street Yarn and Crafts online store should be conducted on our secure site. If you choose to purchase a product online using a credit card, you accept all risks associated with doing so, including the risk that your credit card number or other information could be intercepted in transit. You understand that we will not be liable for any charges which may be made on your credit card as a result of interception, or any other misuse of your credit card or information transmitted or mis-transmitted to us.

SHIPPING:

All orders are shipped either via UPS or the US Postal Service. All orders with APO addresses, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada are shipped via the US Postal Service. We do not offer international shipping.

Orders are packed and shipped Monday – Friday, excluding all major holidays. In stock orders will generally be shipped when received or the next day except when payment is with a check or money order as described above. You will be informed by e-mail of any out-of-stock or back-ordered items within 2 business days of receipt of your order.

Shipping charges include handling, packaging, freight and insurance costs and are in US Dollars. Standard shipping charges are calculated based on weight and zip code.

Expedited

/ Rush Shipping (USA only)

Rush orders can only be shipped to Continental US addresses only and cannot be shipped to P.O. boxes. Choose to ship either UPS Next Day Air, 2^nd Day Air or UPS 3^rd Day for rush orders. Expedited shipping charges are calculated based on weight and zip code for deliveries within the United States.

NOTE:

1. UPS Next Day Air means that the time in transit is 1 day from the time package is shipped.
2. UPS 2^nd Day Air means that the time in transit is 2 days from the time package is shipped.
3. UPS 3^rd Day means that the time in transit is 3 days for the time the package is shipped, e.g. if UPS 3^rd Day was selected and the package was shipped on Monday, the package should arrive on Thursday.

TAXES:

Residents of the State of West Virginia will be charged the appropriate sales tax for the Ship To address and calculated on the total of the order NOT including shipping charges.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order is shipped you will receive a ship confirmation e-mail from us with the tracking number (if appropriate) and carrier being used to deliver your package.

Damaged Shipments

If you have received a damaged shipment, please call Market Street Yarn and Crafts within 5 days after delivery so we can place a claim with the shipping company.

We will assist customers by replacing damaged item(s).

Refusal of Delivery

At the time of delivery if an order is refused, the customer will be responsible for shipping costs back to Market Street Yarn and Craft as well as the original shipping charges. Please see our Returns and Exchanges section for more information.

Incorrect Shipping Information

If a package is returned to Market Street Yarn and Craft or delivered to the wrong address due to an incorrect shipping address provided by a customer, the customer will be responsible for the original shipping cost, return shipping cost as well as the redelivery cost.

Return Policies

1. Items returned damaged or with product packaging damaged or removed will be refused.
2.  Once the original item is returned, your credit card will be credited for the amount you originally paid for the items minus shipping and handling costs.
3. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs (both ways).
4. Allow one week for processing your return after we have received it.

Books, patterns, or needles cannot be returned.

Only yarn with labels intact may be returned to us within 30 days of purchase. Merchandise in sealed packaging must be returned unopened, and all returned items must be in new, unused condition, in their original packaging. Yarn that has been unskeined and wound into balls or with labels removed is not acceptable for return.

Refunds will be made in the amount of the purchase price of the product minus a 5%-25% restocking charge. We do not refund shipping charges unless it is due to an error on our part.

Yarn returned within 14 days is subject to a 5% restocking charge. Items returned after 14 days will be subject to a 25% restocking charge. Returns made after 30 days will not be refunded. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns beyond this time due to constraints of dye-lots and seasonal products.

For returned items that have been shipped free, the shipping and handling charges as indicated in the ordering system will be deducted from the return amount.

Yarn on sale, close-out, Specials and wholesale/discount yarns sold by the bag are NOT returnable and will NOT be refunded in the event they are shipped back to us.

In order to reduce the likelihood of a return, please feel free to contact us for a sampling of any yarn you would like to inspect. We suggest that you first review the colors available online for any particular product. We would appreciate limiting your request to 3 (three) samples.

How to Make a Return

1. Carefully pack items to be returned. The original shipping box can be used if it is still in good condition. If the box is not in good condition, please use another box.

2. Place a copy of your invoice or e-mail confirmation inside the box.

3. Please include your reason for the return.
4. Properly seal the box.
5. Please insure your shipment. We cannot credit returns for lost or damaged items.

Weather Related Delays

We cannot guarantee USPS or UPS delivery times or be held responsible for reimbursement of shipping charges due to weather related conditions.

SECURE ONLINE ORDERING

All of our orders are processed through secure shopping cart services provided by PayPal.

Warranties

Manufacturers are responsible for all warranties on their products.

Use of Coupons / Discounts

If you have a coupon or discount code, please enter it at the point of check-out. Please note that only one coupon / discount code may be used per order. In order to keep costs down (so we may pass on savings to you), coupons, refunds or credit cannot be applied retrospectively to orders that have already been placed.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Market Street Yarn and Crafts does not sell or distribute any customer information to third parties. From time to time our vendors send direct mailings to our customers offering special savings or coupons. We do provide names and addresses of our customers to them unless you request otherwise. We respect the privacy of every individual who visits our website.

There are cases where we may ask you for personally-identifiable information such as your name, mailing address, and e-mail address. Examples include, but are not limited to online shopping transactions, signing up for an email newsletter, registering on our site or participating in sweepstakes. We will not collect any personally-identifiable information about you unless you provide it to us voluntarily.

We may:

1. Store and process information to better understand your needs and how we can improve our products and services.
2. Use that information to contact you for informational and promotional purposes.
3. Use and disclose that information to third parties when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our right’s or property, other members or users of the web site, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities;
4. Disclose that information to third parties when we believe in good faith that the law requires it; and

Except as stated in this Privacy Policy, or as otherwise stated at the time personally-identifiable information is gathered, we will not provide personally-identifiable information to third parties.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

We may ask you for certain information (such as your credit card number and expiration date) when you order products through our online store. We may use this information for processing your order and may share this information with credit card processing companies and any other third party that may need the information in order for your order to be processed. These organizations have their own privacy and data collection practices. We have not responsibility for these independent policies.

We allow links to various other web sites. We assume no responsibility for the information practices of sites you are able to access through our site. These links to other sites do not imply affiliation or endorsement of a linked site.
